FAQS
Can I drop in and browse?
You are welcome to drop in and see us any time. Our new temporary premises since the earthquake at 19 Rimu St are beautiful and spacious, and we have a roomy entranceway where we can talk with you about bras and show you styles. However we do work by fitting only, which means that our bras are mainly out the back, and that if we are booked up when you pop in, we will need to re-schedule your fitting for another time. We believe that it is important to be able to give you all our attention during your fitting, and we put aside 30 minutes for each new customer. For this reason, we still highly recommend an appointment. But if you happen to be in the area and just want to check us out, please do call in, we may have a space! We look forward to seeing you!
Do you stock smaller cup sizes as well?
Not at the moment (except for pocketed bras). We stock almost solely
C-K cup size, with a very wide range of body fit (6-30). We know that women of all sizes sometimes find it difficult to find a good fitting bra, but there is a real gap of products in the fuller cup size range. Having said that, often we are a different size to what we originally think! Cup size is relative to body fit, so if you are wearing a bra in a size 16C that is a bit loose in the body fit, you may well find you actually fit a size 12DD! We are very happy to see you for a fitting, even if you are not sure whether you will fit the bras. At least you will go away with a better idea of your actual bra size.
Do I really need to have a fitting?
If you want to be sure that you have the right bra for you then we strongly recommend having a personalised fitting. Different brands of lingerie fit differently so even if you 'know' what size you are it may be different in a new style. Our experience is that 95% of the women we have seen have been wearing the wrong size bra. Once you are in the right size you'll be amazed how much better you'll feel! The right bra size can dramatically improve your comfort level, and also body profile. We have had customers tell us that friends and colleagues ask if they've lost weight, when the only thing that has changed is that they've just got some great fitting bras!
Do you make your own brassieres?
No! Almost all of our bras are imported from the United Kingdom and America, where they have bigger populations and a wider size range in bras than those normally available in New Zealand. We only import bras that meet our stringent quality and design standards.
How did you get into this business?
It is something of a family tradition! Deborah's grandmother was a corsetiere back in the late 1930s. She's in the photo below! For more information see 'About Us'.
